Breath fails me.
But all of the above (not least the sex hormones) are fine for your infant.
No no guys their right. Soy is horrible for male babies and that’s why they also warn to not eat chocolate, cookies, bread, cook with vegetable oil, eat at most restaurants, eat crackers, chips, french fries, most frozen foods, canned soups, most if not all Asian foods and anything else containing soy as a filler, soy lecithin as a preservative, and/or soy oil!
Wait, what? They don’t? Well I’m sure they rally against Yellow 5 which is in everything from juice to candy to medication which mimics estrogen much better than soy does and has proven to cause genital deformities in males. No? Not that either?
EDIT: *they’re not their. I’m an idiot.

@2 months ago with 27 notesMy French/English science lesson went really well! It was surprising to see how the two groups approached the lesson. Those given the lesson in French were so attentive and asked lots of questions (in English but whatcha gonna do?) and were super attentive even though they didn’t really understand. One student actually managed to translate some of the words on the quiz. The students given the lesson in English though didn’t pay much attention and even though, didn’t ask any questions (except one girl who pointed out a mistake I made which was good), and even though they were given a worksheet with all the answers and the exact diagram I wanted them to draw they still missed a bunch of questions.
I was pretty nervous so I did the French lesson first because I figured if I messed up no one would know. The lack of interest in the English lesson students messed me up though.
A coworker of my mother came to do some recording of the lesson and afterwards he told me he was surprised/impressed I put actually science in my lesson. I smiled and said thank you but that was clearly a blow.
Celebrated my victory with a burrito and relaxing before I have to pick up my grandmother from gray care.
@2 months agoI realize that’s not a new thing but seriously fuck this shit.
@2 months agoGoing to start exercising again so I can lose 10-15 pounds and be strong and fragile at the same time.
@2 months agoStarted 2012 off with an angry (boy)friend, anxiety attacks, nightmares, crying, and an email from my apartment complex starting with PAY YOUR RENT even though I’m up to date.
2011 was a really shitty year for me and I guess 2012 is following suit.
@1 month agowell, because maybe my body isn’t a burial site for dead animals!

This will be me after I get teacher money. Well there will be a lot more hobo glyphs and desert witch markings. Abracadabra!

Tomorrow I’m going to a junior high school where my mom teaches so I can tell them about the science of color in both English and French. I’m going to wear a sheer silk blouse with planets on it (stoooollleeee iittt). SCIENCE!
@2 months ago with 1 noteI just have to laugh!
This is fucked up. Just because Japanese art looks different than European art doesn’t mean it’s bad.
Yeah seriously. Six of those countries are Western. Four are on the same continent. What is this getting at?
The meme is saying European/western art is better than Japanese art.
LOL
i think y’all are getting a little too upset over this. it’s supposed to be funny, not riot inducing.
You forget the rules of tumblr. If it is on the internet, it must be offensive to everyone, and tumblr must create an activist group to fight against it.
Okay first of all the Japanese piece is a advertisement for a play. Second of all the Japanese mastered if not flat out invented wood block printing. It took Europe a couple hundred years later to figure that shit out whatever.
Finally look at the fucking face that guy is pulling! How the hell is that not funny?
Grain of salt mofos, grain of salt.

Anonymous asked: i really like your blog, but it makes me sad that you have so much hatred towards people who aren't vegan. I don't think you should look down on anyone just because they have differing lifestyles. I also feel like you put yourself on kind of a high horse and you feel superior to other people just because you are vegan. seems a little self richeous. I don't support animal cruelty, but I also wouldn't hate someone or think of them as a terrible person just because they eat meat.
I have many friends and family who are not vegan and they, just like everyone have good and bad qualities to them. I don’t necessarily think I’m better than omnivores but I do think that veganism is better than non-vegan diets. Honestly I have pretty piss poor self esteem.
Usually when there’s a difference of opinion I chalk it up to just that, a difference of opinion. However, you wouldn’t defend a child molester, a racist, a murderer, or a rapist just because they have a different lifestyle would you? I use those things very carefully not to be sensationalist but because in their own way they have very much in common with animal consumption. The reason why you or I or anyone with half a brain wouldn’t defend these people is not because their actions are wrong (and they very well are) but because it involves someone beyond themselves and removes the option that other person has completely.
If there was a way that eating meat did not mean the murder of animals, if we just ate animals when they died of natural causes I wouldn’t care. I’ve said before to friends that if we just hunted animals when we needed food I’d probably be alright with that too. As it stands right now we are raising living, breathing, thinking, and most importantly feeling creatures specifically to kill them regardless of whether we have enough food or if there will be someone at the end to eat them.
I admit that there are times when my feelings toward this issue contain a little less tact than I would ordinarily like but is something I feel very strongly about. I like to give free passes to everyone when they are passionate about something just because you can’t always control what you say at that point.
In any case I’ll thank you for the compliment and- although the way you worded it makes me think you might already be veg I’ll say it anyway- wish you do some reading up on the subject. Though you addressed my attitude toward the subject and not the subject itself, still it wouldn’t hurt.
@2 months agoI’m terribly frightened that I might have bed bugs. Having a “pest” company come in to search for them today. Please take a quick second to hope I don’t have any with me.
